Set on the bank of the Vistula, Kazimierz Dolny is a small picturesque town with an interesting urban design of historic import . Along with Miecmierz and Albrechtowka, Kazimierz lies in the Kazimierski Landscape Park, an area of unmatched natural beauty and a haven for country lovers. Its rich and varied topography features forested rolling hills, river valleys and loessial ravines of which Korzeniowy Dol, Norowy Dol, and Wawoz Malachowskiego are the main showpieces of the area. Equally attractive is the local quarry were limestone rock was once exploited. Kazimierz is known for numerous architectural monuments including the ruins of a mediaeval castle, watchtower, parish church, a classic example of the so-called Lublin Renaissance style, Reformed Franciscan Church, burgher houses that line the market square and granaries. The beauty of the town and of the majestically flowing Vistula is perhaps best seen the top of the Three Cross Hill towering over the town and from the watchtower. Kazimierz Dolny is also an important centre of culture with many art galleries of well-known artists. It is a venue for many festivals such as the Two Riverbanks Arts and Film Festival, Festival of Klezmer Music and Tradition, Festival of Folk Bands and Singers, organ concerts and art exhibitions. There are also a few permanent and periodic expositions in the local museums and art galleries. Many visitors come here to take a walk along the river or a boat cruise. Many visit Miecmierz, an old rafters’ settlement that dates back to the beginning of the 15th c. There is a historic well in the village centre and a windmill atop the steel bank of the Vistula, one of the oldest mills in Poland. Those who prefer active recreation will find plenty of opportunities to do so. We offer jeep rides along country roads, all-terrain-vehicle expeditions, canoeing, and paintball to mention but a few activities. In wintertime the area attracts snowboarders and skiers. There are professionally prepared slopes in Rablow, Celejow and Bochotnica including full technical and catering infrastructure. The key attractions of the town include:
